Aeropeople paint the city blue
In July this year, Aeropeople, were chosen by Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies to supply a team of experienced Aircraft painters to to paint an Etihad A330-200 in the colours of Manchester City Football club. The new “Blue Moon Rising” livery was to mark Etihad’s sponsorship with the football club and to also unveil its twice daily flights to Manchester and Abu Dhabi. A team of 40 painters worked around the clock for 18 days to paint the A330-200 in this stunning design. 450 litres of paint were required to complete the task.
Neil Candeland, Aeropeople’s Operations and Finance Director commented ‘This project was a great example of how Aeropeople’s skilled and knowledgeable consultants were able to deliver the right resources ensuring the Aircraft livery was delivered to a tight schedule. The day after painting was completed the Aircraft flew Manchester City players and staff to the US for their summer tour; a deadline that could not be missed!’
